Maelstrom is an unusual battle royale game where players control fantasy ships and fight until the "last hero" is left alive.

Maelstrom is a sea Battle Royal in a fantasy setting. But there are only 12 players on one map. The rules are still the same: the one who survives wins. But the mechanics of battles here is implemented very atypically and are sure to please you. But first, let's talk about the development system.

In Maelstrom, there are three races available. Each of the races has three ships to choose from. Each ship in Maelstrom has 4 main groups of parameters. Each ship can be assigned details that increase one or another of its characteristics. Each ship can be assigned a captain and 3 helpers. The captain adds a special skill, which is used by the "R" key, and the helpers passively increase the ship's parameters.

Up to 12 players can take part in one battle. If there are not enough participants, their place will be taken by bots.

Before the start of the match, players get to the map where it will take place. There are several maps and they all look very nice. The map is chosen at random.

When the match begins, all participants appear at the edges of the map, forming a circle at the borders of the safe zone. Beyond that are some "dark waters". Covered in black smoke. There's a huge, vicious monster swimming in them, and if you linger there, it will jump out of the water and sink your ship in one fell swoop! Another similar monster also swims in the safe zone. It can be attacked.

The ship's durability is its "health". If it runs out, the ship will be destroyed. The sails are responsible for speed and maneuverability. The more damaged they are, the slower you will sail. The more living crew members on the ship, the faster the cannons will reload. In addition, the ship's crew will fight with the enemy crew when boarding.

You can also ram ships but it will damage your ship too, although at a much lower cost if you have the right stats.

At the beginning of the match, there are always 1-2 small bot ships appearing next to the player - they are not uncommon in Maelstrom and float all over the game map. There are also more powerful and loot-rich treasure ships.

To make fighting more interesting, there are whirlpools on the map that can twist your ship and suck it into the depths of the sea. There are also fast currents that will speed up the movement of your ship. The most interesting thing is that on the map there are always clouds of mist, in which you can hide from the enemy.

The safe zone will gradually narrow, and the battle lasts until only 1 player remains alive.

Earning gold to buy ships and crew in Maelstrom is not difficult. First, the game has daily tasks, and different for all races. Secondly, the player expects a chain of tasks Battle Pass, where there is also a lot of valuable rewards. Moreover, the gold will be issued even for increasing the level of the account. And, of course, you can earn gold in battles, picking up loot from destroyed ships and taking the lead.
