Kelsey Grammer has indicated that Ted Danson is likely to make an appearance if there is a renewal for Season 3 of Frasier. Earlier this year, Paramount decided to end the series after two successful seasons. However, both Kelsey Grammer, who portrays Frasier and is one of the producers, along with CBS Studios, are actively seeking a new platform to continue the journey of Frasier and his son in Boston.
In a recent discussion with a media outlet, Grammer shared insights on what led to the show's cancellation, the search for a new network, and potential developments for a third season. He explained that the individual who handled the show at Paramount Plus departed, leaving the project without dedicated leadership as it passed to a new administration. While they attempted to manage it, he felt that they lacked genuine enthusiasm for the series.
Grammer expressed his desire for an organization that genuinely cares about Frasier to take on the project, noting that viewer ratings have remained strong. He stated,
- "We will find a home where enthusiasm for the show exists."
- "It has a substantial audience and following, and if people are informed about its location, they will certainly engage with it."
He additionally noted that there are intentions to Ted Danson to join the cast in a possible third season. Despite their past differences, Danson and Grammer have recently mended fences, creating excitement around the potential collaboration. Danson is well-known for his portrayal of the bar proprietor Sam Malone on Cheers, the show where Frasier first appeared before gaining his own series in the 1990s.
